Meet our fabulous team ‘hand-picked’ for their values & qualities that make up our team; professionalism, customer care, outdoor skills, group management and safety and of course a sense of fun.
Pete Kelly Pete our Adventure Swim Director, is what you would describe as a professional outdoors-man, he’s been working with groups in the outdoors most of his life, he is very experienced in group management and safety and has a keen sense for group cohesiveness and enjoyment. You can see how much he enjoys leading trips and its obvious our guests just love his company too.
Pete’s an extremely proficient paddler (kayak and open boat) being in the British team as a youth. He swims all year round and guides most of our swims, and he knows the Lake District like the back of his hand, as its waters and fells are his habitat.
Andrea Kelly Andrea is our marketing and development guru, she develops the swim programme and promotes them for customers. She loves to guide the swims when she can, she’s an expert wetsuit fitter too and keeps the shop and website in order.
Giving what the customer wants is one of her mantra’s and she’s always got your back.
Tors Hamilton Tors is probably the most cheery and optimistic person we know. She’s never seems to be out of the water and is on track for her solo Channel swim in 2017. Being an extremely competent paddler, if she’s not in water she’ll be on it.
Tors is also our Environmental officer and whisky connoisseur.
Lianne Brook-Sanders Lianne is a Trojan in the water, she’s a strong swimmer but often likes to chill and ‘bring up the rear’ of the group.
Steve Tonkin One of the newest members of our team, Steve was a Cornish beach lifeguard and you can see why, he’s a big fella, extremely capable, affable and is the man you want beside you if you suddenly find your self in the middle of a swell.
Therry Cooper Therry is an expert in fitting wetsuits and helps run the shop, she keeps the stock counts in check and always goes out of her way to help customers. An avid swimmer herself she has been known to crop up on some of the introduction courses and guided swims.
