Product Description
The Crummock Water Swim Hike is the highlight of one of our most popular swimming weekends. Because of that, here it is as one of our Adventure swimming Days. The Crummock Water Swim Hike provides a classic Lake District experience. This valley really was made for exploring and it is a beautiful part of the county, simply made for open water swimmers.
The Crummock Swim Hike is perfect for the outdoor swimmer who loves to be out all day. Under the guidance of our excellent swim guide team, you are sure to have a great day out. Standing at the pebble beach at Lanthwaite Wood and looking south to Buttermere can be an intimidating sight for the uninitiated. You just know that a real swimming adventure lies ahead. Yet the distance of just over 4km is not too much to overcome for a good swimmer. Just remember… we have a good break for lunch at Low Ling Crag.
After a break for lunch, we have the time to explore the nearby fells, including the cleft that leads to Scale Force. This can be a mini-adventure in itself! At the end of the day, you will be left with that quietly satisfied feeling that comes with time well spent outdoors. We look forward to your company.
Crummock Water Swim Hike Itinerary
As always in mountainous areas, our itinerary is dependent on the weather, but we hope to enjoy all that the Crummock Water Swim Hike has to offer. We will meet at Buttermere Village with the meeting place, venue and itinerary to be confirmed upon booking. We can provide all the equipment you will need for this swim with our low-cost hire.
